Under the Moonlight (a TegoMasu FanFic)

Under The Moonlight
(A TegoMasu FanFic)

“Otsukare-sama minna!” Massu and Tego bowed down before the staffs after their successful TegoMasu concert.

            “Otsukare...” numbers of staffs replied.

“Neh! Tegoshi, are you going back directly to the hotel?” Massu asked him as they were packing.

“Maybe. Why?” the younger one answered without even watching him.

“Hmmnn... I was just wondering if we could like… hangout for a bit.” Massu started, he was quite nervous for he wasn’t sure if Tegoshi would accept his invitation.

Tegoshi looked at him… His face was questioning, “Should I call on some of the band members to come with us?”

“No!” Massu said intently, “I mean…” he continued for he saw a shocked expression on Tegoshi’s face, “I wanted to spend this night with you… alone.”

Tegoshi’s face lightened up, “You mean… like a date?” he asked without thinking which later on made him blushed with embarrassment.

“If that’s how you call it!” Massu said happily with a wink… “So, are you coming with me?”

The still embarrassed Tegoshi just nodded shyly.

“Neh… Massu, why here?” Tegoshi asked curiously. They were at the beach this time. They were alone walking on the shore.

Instead of answering, Massu sat on the sand and motioned Tegoshi to sit beside him. The younger one just followed the other guy’s direction.

They were at that position for a couple of minutes when Massu held Tegoshi’s hand.

Tegoshi swallowed an invisible lump in his throat as he looked at Massu’s hand on top of his.

Isn’t it a nice scene we’re watching now Tegoshi?” Massu asked, trying to get his attention.

“Ehh?” Tegoshi couldn’t get his thoughts.

The older one sighed, “Didn’t you notice the moon’s reflection on the water? Isn’t it magical?”

“How will I notice such thing when all I see is you?” he wanted to say but he just erased the thought of saying it and tried to focus his sight on the water.

His eyes grew… It was so magical and enchanting. The moonlight’s reflection in the water is that of a sparkling diamond. It was something so perfect that he smiled with amusement.

Massu, seeing Tegoshi’s reaction, held his breath. He couldn’t stop his heart from skipping a beat. For a few moments, he has seen an angel smiling sweetly at the moon’s reflection. He tried to compose himself.

Tegoshi noticed a change in Massu’s aura. He could feel that the other guy is nervous or something. He gazed at Massu’s direction. He was a bit shocked when he saw him staring intently at him. “Daijobu?” he asked worriedly while touching Massu’s forehead. Massu caught his hand and gave him a light peck on his lips.

            “Why?” blushing, Tegoshi asked shyly.

“I don’t know… But somehow I just feel like doing it. I’m sorry.” Massu gave him a sad look and started to stand up when Tegoshi stopped him by tagging on his arms. He motioned Massu to sit again. And when the latter did, he automatically hugged him.

“Baka!” Tegoshi whispered, still hugging him. “After doing it, you’ll just leave me with that lame reason?”

Stunned with what Tegoshi said, Massu slowly hugged him back. “I’m sorry; it’s just that I can’t stop myself from doing it.”

“Why?” the younger one asked again as he released himself from the hug to face Massu, “Then why did you do it?” he started to sound stubborn.

There wasn’t any reaction from Massu that he started to turn around and stand.

“Because I love you… Is it that hard to decipher?” those words from Massu left a freezing sensation to Tegoshi. He couldn’t move.

Now, tell me Tegoshi… Do you love me?” he asked, this time it was calmer… more composed.

Tegoshi faced him. Eyes becoming moist from tears.

And instead of answering, he crossed the distance between them. This time, it wasn’t just a peck. It was a real kiss.

Truly, that scene was magical. Lovers confessing their hearts out for the first time… under the moonlight.
